Tips for Successful Marketing

Social media

Post weekly about your attendance at our market. Tag @nevadacityfarmersmarket in your posts & stories. Do a special highlight of an item you want to sell and show a recipe/how to use it.

Display

Create a display that is clean, modern, and attractive. Make sure your booth provides adequate spacing for your customers to peruse.

Tell a Story

People want to know who you are, what you’re about, and why they should buy from you. Community is the emphasis of our market and if customers feel like they know you, they’re more likely to buy from you.

Vendor Insurance

We wanted to create an easy and simple guide to vendor insurance for our market. We often get many questions about which is the best to buy. While we don’t have an answer for that, we will add a few that we see most often below for your reference.

Event Helper - This is most used by artisan vendors but there are options for all types of vendors. There are options for just a few dates or for the whole season.

Campbell Risk Management - This is what the market uses. They are farmers market centered and so they are equipped to provide you with insurance specific for markets. It’s typically cheaper than individual date insurance and extends for a year
